CRITIQUE SERVICES
By Nadia Salomon
Thank you for entrusting me with your work.
I have critiqued manuscripts from budding writers to published authors. My goal is to help you get your manuscript ready for submission and into the hands of the little readers you dream to inspire.
I am repped by Ammi-Joan Paquette of Erin Murphy Literary Agency. My debut picture book, GOODNIGHT GANESHA, is due out in Fall 2021 with Philomel.
I am also the recipient of the 2019 SCBWI WOOP Honor award for my non-fiction, picture book manuscript, MYRLIE: A VOICE OF HOPE.
I look forward to working with you!

"Nadia always brings another layer of insight to my manuscripts. I appreciate her kind, professional, relentless questioning of everything from character arc to description details. She offers potential solutions to tricky wording and praise when it’s due."
Christine Evans
"Nadia gave a thoughtful and thorough critique that helped me see my manuscript in a new light and made me excited about the project again. I later went on to sell that manuscript and my debut picture book, Evelyn the Adventurous Entomologist, will be released in September 2019."

"When Nadia reads and reviews a manuscript, she takes the effort to connect with the intrinsic message and purpose of the story - this comes through when she offers feedback to improve the writing and storytelling while still allowing me to tell the story I intend to tell. This was particularly true in the case of my published work, The Yellow Suitcase (PB), where her input from conception to getting the manuscript submission-ready was valuable. I appreciate that she often goes a step further to offer options for word and line edits."

"Nadia's critique of my picture book manuscript included helpful suggestions, encouragement and advice. She also offered many writing resources along with comparative titles for me to research. Her critique inspired revisions that strengthened my manuscript to get it submission ready. Nadia truly understands what an author needs and provides excellent feedback in a professional manner."

"When Nadia critiques a manuscript, she gives thorough feedback that takes into account all of the elements that make a good story (concept, plot, word choice, etc.). She was one of the first reviewers of both of my upcoming board books, SUNRISE DANCE and MOONLIGHT PRANCE, and her commentary and support were invaluable."

"Nadia has a gift for critiquing and improving manuscripts. I have had the privilege of receiving Nadia’s thoughtful commentary on my picture book manuscripts, and in each case her suggestions significantly improved my work. Nadia has a vision for first recognizing and understanding the heart of a manuscript before she begins to strengthen it. With great appreciation, I have witnessed Nadia’s line-by-line edits that have tightened my stories and taken them to a more professional level. I have full confidence in Nadia, because she respects the story and works within the framework of the story to make it stronger.

"Nadia was like the closer in the championship baseball game for me. In order to clinch the victory, I needed to have a perfect last inning. I worked on my story for so long and needed a professional review of story arc, structure and grammar that I could count on, before submission to publishers. She critiqued my manuscript, line by line, and helped me fine-tune it into the home run I needed.
My debut children’s chapter book, The Secret Baking Undertaking, is due out in Spring 2020, and it would not have been possible without
Nadia’s expert attention to my story. "
