HERE'S A RECAP!
WRAD 2025 was my 5th anniversary reading to students through Litworld.org.
It was my first year as a WRADVocate, while celebrating the organization's 15th anniversary of bringing everyone around the world together to read together!
Here's what I shared with my groups this year:
A choice of reading my debut, GOODNIGHT GANESHA, illustrated by award-winning illustrator, Poonam Mistry, my current non-fiction picture book biography, A VOICE OF HOPE: THE MYRLIE EVERS-WILLIAMS STORY, illustrated by award-winning illustrator, London Ladd.
As part of the WRADVocate program, some lucky readers got to preview and read my upcoming title, A RAKHI FOR RAKESH, illustrated by the brilliant, Nabi H. Ali.
Be sure to subscribe to my Nadia's Nook newsletter to stay on top of my authorship journey and book recommendations!

Thank you to all the schools that signed up to read with me this year!
I read with schools from CA, NY, NJ, PA, TX, and British Columbia! Due to a snow storm, we postponed our WA school reading. But we are working to make our 20-minute WRAD reading a reality! Looking forward to it. As usual, our time slots are short and go by quickly! But we had a blast. Until next year... |
Heartfelt Comments following WRAD readings...
Hi Nadia I wanted to send a huge thank you for spending time for us. It was so impactful I heard from one of my students parents how much you inspired her. Life is busy so thank you so much for taking the time to be with our class.

Thank you so much for celebrating the 15th anniversary of World Read Aloud Day with us yesterday! We have been asked to pass on the most enthusiastic gratitude from the PS6X students and teachers! Thank you for sharing your voice and your stories on this important day and for being an amazing WRADvocate!
